Royal Festival Hall Dining Chair, Robin Day, 1951

The dining chair was a smaller and more compact version of the lounge chair, with narrower arms and a thinner seat pad. These designs, along with the orchestra chair, were subsequently manufactured by Hille, providing the basis for an extensive family of ‘Contemporary’ furniture developed by Robin over the next few years.
