Homewares brand Mini Moderns was established in 2006 by designers Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire. Their shared passion for mid-century design and special expertise with wallpapers make them perfectly placed to bring Lucienne Day’s classic wallpaper designs back into production.
Working with meticulous attention to every detail of original samples held in Whitworth Collections, Mini Moderns have created faithful reissues which bring Lucienne’s historic wallpaper designs back to life.
Provence is one of three Lucienne Day wallpapers launched at the Festival of Britain in 1951. The design reissued as Syncopation was produced by Crown and included in the 1958 issue of The Architects’ Book of One Hundred Wallpapers.
The new Lucienne Day at Mini Moderns collection will be launched with a panel discussion at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester on Thursday 27th March.
